Are there many slums in Shanghai?

Yeah, I think we do have some, but they are less and less now. You may need to take some time to find what slums you imagine in Shanghai or walk more to find slums where is a little far away from city center.
Probably I should find some still buried in this modern city to know how poor they are.

I totally agreed with you. It all depends on what the slum is. If compared India with China, I think slum there is more than in China and you couldn’t believe people could have a shelter in that kind. So talking about slum in Shanghai, I would like to say it is OK and still livable by my photos during my stay in Shanghai.
