Shanghai South Railway Station is a railway station located in the Xuhui District, which is in the south-west part of Shanghai. It’s ranked as No. 2 railway station in Shanghai where you could take trains mostly toward to the Southern provinces of China, such as Zhejiang, Canton, and Fujian etc.
The station was finished in 2006, and features a circular UFO-like design, the first of its kind in the China. When you visit here, you may think you are in the airport because of its spectacular design and well-equipped facilities. It gives you a total different image than other Chinese railway stations where are always crowded, noisy, dirty and out of order.
It really represents the modern and next-generation of China railway station.
How to reach South Shaghai railway station:
1. By Metro line 1/3 stop @South Shanghai Railway Station, Line 3 exit is no. 3, and more detail to check here.
2. By bus: No. 111, 157, 718, 857, 957, 156 stop at South Square, and No. 50, 218, 703, 704, 704B, xuming bus stop at North Square.
3. By taxi (if you are bothered by luggage, you may call 96822 for expo taxi or shibo taxi which is more bigger than normal taxi)

Yeah, Metro Line No.1 and 3 going to station. But different exit to station.
Please help me the information of trains from shanghai to ningbo and from where i can buy ticket in shanghai and how much time d-train take ? is this a bullet train?
@sherman: D trains to ningbo will take about 3 hours from south shanghai. D trains are bullet trains, CRH trains or dongche in Chinese. Ticket price has two categories: RMB103 and RMB123, second and first class respectively.
