Cheap train to Beijing from Shanghai, will you take?

To train from Shanghai to Beijing, you may not know there is one called train No. 1462.  It is the cheapest and slowest train on the line of Shanghai to Beijing. And it will travel about more than 20 hours but only cost your 88RMB on hard seat and 183RMB on hard sleeper.

Compared with trains such as K, T, Z, D trains we know most, it is way cheap than them but you need to endure its low end by service.  After Z trains have been cancelled and replaced all by D trains, most people tends to take T trains from Shanghai to Beijing. However, some frugal blue collars, countryside immigrants to cities, students and retiree still choose it as transportation because of its half price even double travel time.  In holiday seasons, this train has always overbooked tickets by 50% to 100%.    

This train is non-airconditioned, multpile stops on the line, and crowded sometimes.
