I guess you always spotted taxis in green color on the Shanghai street. Right, they are taxis from Shanghai Bashi Group.
Shanghai Bashi Group is one of the top-tier taxi groups in Shanghai, and has 6500 taxis operated on the street. It is a taxi company in a third place following to Dazhong and Qiangsheng Group.
When you need a taxi from them, just call its hotline at 96840. I believe both English and Japanese service available. Starting from July 1, 2009, they began to provide a 24 hour English service to passengers either by hotline or by interphone from taxi.
If you have complaints about Bashi taxi driver, you could dial complaint hotline at 64312788, but I am not sure speaking English is working.
