Pizza Hut China has a deal for its salad bar. Customers can only use the salad plate provided by Pizza Hut to take as many salads as possible at its self serviced salad bar for 28 RMB.
Actually 28RMB for vegetables and fruits is an expensive deal for Chinese customers. So don’t know start from when, some people studied very hard on how to make the salad tower with as many salads as possible which can also stands stable in the small plate.
People were sharing with each other the successful experience, for example: how to make the solid foundation by some hard, square shaped fruits such as pineapple and using salad sauce as the glue to stick everything together. Some even analysed from architecture point by using some formula on how to build a tall and stable salad tower and share the graphic with others. Some people could build a tower 0.5 meter tall!
The salad tower game became more and more popular in China and people took it as a challenging game rather than only food. Sadly, the salad bar was cancled by Pizza Hut from June 2009. So we might only be amazed by the photos now:
