Thunderstorm and pouring rain again today in Shanghai…..
Weather this summer in Shanghai is very strange. After 20th July, Shanghai has been raining for a month and doesn’t seem to stop!
This month is exactly like the plum rain wet season which is usually in late June, humid, wet and hot. Extremely uncomfortable. Even white fungus grows on some of my clothes. What a terrible weather!
Coincidentally this strange weather started right after the solar eclipse. So a lot of us is wondering if there is any connection between the unusual wet weather and eclipse…
Anyway, I didn’t go out today. So I cooked myself some Hunan special…. steamed fish head with chili sauce…..hope to get some humidity off

Lots of foreigners don’t understand why Chinese love fish head. I can’t tell the reason exactly. For myself, fish head offers more varieties besides normal fish meat…. I guess…..
Anyway, the other reason I made this is because it is really easy to cook it and quite healthy…… just put the chili sauce on top of it and steam it for about 15 minutes. Done! No oil, no fry……
