Specialised food shop

There are some food shops in those international communities in Shanghai, such as Gubei, Green City, Hongqiao etc. Those shops usually have very strong country identity depends on the countries/regions the owner from.  The shop owners are usually people from other countries who currently live in Shanghai. Some of them opened the food shop because they found it was difficult to get their home town food in Shanghai when they first came to Shanghai. So although most shops are small but sells unique stuffs which are not available in general super markets.

Amphora - Greek Food Store
I happened to be in this shop a couple of months ago when I went to Hongmei Road. It was very easy to tell it is Greek as the shop is blue and white!

Most food there are imported from Greece. I love the yogurt, olives and vinegar there. It also serves some basic meals in store.

They have two shops in Shanghai.

- Room 1K, 1st Floor, Jiuzhou Life Square, 3219 Hongmei Road
- 429 North Shanxi Road

Feidan - Italian Food Store
Very interesting name, in Chinese means Flying eggs just like their logo, an egg with wings.
The shop itself looks very simple just like a normal convenience store everywhere in Shanghai. I love their fresh baked bread.

Currently 6 stores.
- 158 Anfu Road
- 382-1 Dagu Road
- 101-1 South Wuning Road
- Room 1106, Building 1, 283 West Jianguo Road
- 1896 Hami Road
- 332 Jingyan Road, Pudong

Galleria - Korean Food Store
As its location indicated, Galleria specially serves the Korean group living in Longbai Korean Community. Lots of Korean food, household good etc. Remind me of the China town in other countries.
Address: 1000 Hongquan Road
