South Hangzhou Railway Station (SHZ)
East Hangzhou Railway Station (Under construction now)
Four major train stations in Shanghai:
Shanghai Railway Station (SH)
South Shanghai Railway Station (SSH)
West Shanghai Railway Station (WSH)
Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station (the biggest and newest one high speed train station)
Most CRH trains are running between Hangzhou Railway Station and South Shanghai Railway Station. However, there are a few from/to different stations.

I will be going to Hangzhou & shanghai during this spring festival.
I need to buy the bullet train ticket from Hangzhou to Shanghai before I reach China.
Will the hotel that I have booked buy the ticket for me, or I have to ask somebody else to buy?
I’ve asked some hotels in Shanghai to see if they can buy train tickets for their customers. Some do but some don’t. So I guess you need to check with the hotel you booked to see if they can provide this service.
The hotels which offer this service suggested to provide the details of the train you would like to take as early as possible. For those short distance CRH trains, tickets are relatively easy to get. But for some lines, it is just impossible to buy. So again, you need to check with the hotel for any specific route.
Hotels do charge fee for the service, normally 10% of the ticket price. Again please check with the hotel for this charge.

Sorry to reply a little late. For your question. I think
1) SSH is nearer to Expo site. But both railway stations are easy to access Expo site by Subway.
2) There is one Chinese web site to sell train tickets in advanced, but I don’t suggest you do so as a tourist. Here is my three posts for reference about buying train tickets in Shanghai:
