I’ve been in Shanghai a little over a month now and am currently looking for a mini golf course in Shanghai. I googled it and found www.luckygreens.com but unfortunately they have been shut down since 2007. Would you happen to know of any nice indoor or outdoor mini golf courses in Shanghai? Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi, Andrew. Yes, you are right, the Lucky Greens mini golf, which used to be in Cloud 9 Mall near Zhongshan Park  is now closed. I did a bit research and asked some of my golfer friends about mini golf course in Shanghai. Unfortunately I am afraid there isn’t any real mini golf course in Shanghai at the moment.

But my friends suggested two golf driving ranges which are reasonalbly priced, and easy accessible in the city centre. You can check it out.

- Five Ocean Golf Club

It is inside the Fenglan Business Hotel on its top floor near Jing’an Temple. I was told it is a Shanghai branch of Japanese golf club. English service available.

Address: 5th Floor, Fenglan Business Hotel, 58 Yanping Road (near Xinzha Road)

Get there: Metro Line 2, Jing’an Temple Station, walk to the north for about 15 minutes

- Captain Driving Range

It is inside the famous Captain Hostel in Pudong near Yuanshen Stadium.

Address:  At the junction between Shangcheng Road and Taolin Road

Get there: Metro Line 6, Yuanshen Stadium Station, it is behind the International City Apartment Block

Here are two more driving ranges I checked with my Shanghai for your reference.

- Jin Qiao Golf Club

Address: No.706 Jin Hu Road, close to Xin Jin Qiao Road

It is located in Jin Qiao area, and close to Green City.

- Qiao Tai Golf Club - Long Hua Driving Range

Address: No. 8 First East Ji Chang Road

It is located in Long Hua area.
