If you have been to the People’s Square Metro station, you will know how easily you can get lost in Shanghai huge metro Station. That is why lots of readers asked me about the detailed information of Metro Shanghai South Railway Station.

Currently Metro Line 1 and 3 both stop at Shanghai South Railway Station. Line 1 is on the north side (blue block in the map) and Line 3 is one the south side (yellow block in the map).

And there is a undergroup walking passage to connect these two lines (pale pink pass in the map).

There are total 6 exits of the Metro Shanghai South Railway Station. Exit 1, 2, 3 for Line 3 and Exit 4,5,6 for Line 1.
Detailed informatin of each exit as below:

• Exit 1: Liuzhou Road, Shilong Road, North Longchuan Road, Bicycle parking lot of South Square
• Exit 2: South Square of Shanghai South Railway Station, Shilong Road, Shanghai Long-distance Bus Station, Bus terminal of South Square, Undergroud Parking lot (Section E), Undergroud shopping mall (South)
• Exit 3: Shanghai South Railway Station, Taxi, Metro Line 1 and 3 Connecting passage
• Exit 4: Shanghai South Railway Station, Train Ticket Office, Taxi, Metro Line 1 and 3 Connecting passage
• Exit 5: South Square of Shanghai South Railway Station, Humin Road, Bus terminal of North Square, Undergroud Parking lot (Section A/B/C/D), Undergroud shopping mall (North)
• Exit 6: Liuzhou Road, Huming Road, Bus terminal of North Square, Bicycle parking lot of North Square

Some quick index:

• Metro Line 3 to Train Station, take Exit 3.
• Metro Line 1 to Train Station, take Exit 4.
• Train station to the Long-distance bus station, take Exit 2

A1&A2 waiting lounge, which are for most CRH trains  is on the 1st floor and 1-12 lounge is on the 2nd floor.
