My stroll in Hongkou District Shanghai (Hongkou Football Stadium)

The weather during 2009 National Day Golden week in Shanghai is what we call Best Season in Shanghai except 1st Oct. It was dry, clear, breezy and sunny. What a waste if I didn’t go out! So I decided to go around Hongkou District.

In local Shanghainese mind, Hongkou district is regarded as an unpleasant or lower end district like Zhabei District (Jingan District, Luwan District and Xuhui District are usually regarded good districts in Shanghai). But these two districts are actually very close to the city centre and the river. Why they are less developed? Okay, I haven’t found the answer yet.

My stroll path:

Hongkou Football Stadium - Lu Xun Park - Tianai Road - Duolun Road - North Sichuan Road - Metro Line 4, Hailun Road Station

I took Metro Line 3 first arrived at  Hongkou Football Stadium (Line 8 also stops here).

There was a small market in front of the metro station.

At the stadium, I found a large job advertisement stand. Still some people were looking for job during holiday!

This was one exmaple of the job. It is a E-business company looking for some young talents.

And this is the beautiful Hongkou Football Stadium!
