My stroll in Hongkou District Shanghai (Lu Xun Park)

Lu Xun Park is located right beside the Hongkou Football Stadium at North Sichuan Road. Although the park is named after the famous Chinese writer Lu Xun,Lu Xun Park might be the most vividly living park in Shanghai. Not for tourists, totally serves the local communities needs. It also reminded me of the parks back in 1980s where my parents usually took me to for holidays.

First there is usually a holiday market.

Amazing thing about Lu Xun Park is there are so many musicians around you. People playing here are purely for joy, entertaining themselves and the others. The two gentlemen were playing Chinese flute.

Fan of Karaoke? You might been to Party World or Haoledi in Shanghai to sing with your friends. Why not try in Lu Xun Park. I found most public Karaokes in Lu Xun Park. It is like performing a small concert to the public! And don’t worry, if you do sing well. You get lots of applause!

You do need to pay to sing, 1RMB per song or even less. Look at this guy below, he didn’t pay anything because he sang so well and attracted so many audiences. So the owner waived his fee.

Here is the map of Lu Xun Park. I believe I entered from the west gate near the tennis court and exited from the east gate which is in Tianai Road.
