Photos of Shanghai South Railway Station

Like what I said before, Shanghai South Railway Station is more like a airport, from the outside through the inside.

Compared with Shanghai Railway Station, which I guess was built in last century, Shanghai South Railway Station is more passenger friendly, especially foreigners friendly. Lots of signage and maps in both Chinese and English.

The main hall of Shanghai South Railway Station has three floors: 2nd Floor (waiting lounge, like the departure level for an airport), 1st Floor (transition floor, passengers can walk to the outside square and bus terminals etc via the walking bridge), B1 floor (like the arrival level in an airport, connected to the 2 Metro Lines).

There are two soft seat lounges are located in the east and west side (grey orange area). And other parts are public areas with shops, toilets, food courts facilities.

When we talk about China, we should always think of large scale. This is to show you how large and busy the Shanghai South Railway Station.
