As the holiday season is approaching, the big sales is everywhere in Shanghai. Every store has kind of sale scheme, some of which are really tricky and need more math skills.

Okay, I received this sale email from a friend, which I believe was from a local shopping website.

Hush Puppies 2009 Year-End Sale (up to 90% off)

Time: 09:00am - 20:00pm, 26 - 28, Nov 2009

Venue: 1 Floor, Building 5, Shanghai Fashion Industry Park

Address: 1718 Tianshan Road (near Zunyi Road)

Get there: Metro Line 2, Lou Shan Guan Road Station, Exit 1

• Shopping bag costs 1RMB each, please bring your own shopping bag.

I feel that I need to make a statement here. I am not recommending any sales or brands or stores here. I post this information is purely for sharing NOT for any commercial purpose. And I hope some people find it useful. I haven’t been to this sales, so I don’t give any comments here. It is totally up to you to decide.

I personally have been to similar sales like this before, some were really good but some were not. And I found some of these sale events were organised by the brand itself, but some were organised by some third parties. The quality of those by third parties did vary.

Some of my suggestions would be:

• wearing comfortable shoes
• be prepared to fight with the crowd especially those Ayi
• Bring a bottle of water or even some chocolate etc
• bring some cash where some may accept cash only and a shopping bag
• usually it doesn’t provide any fitting room.
