If you are going to spend your 2010 New Year in Shanghai, this might be a good news.
In order to celebrate the 2010 New Year and the coming 2010 World EXPO, Shanghai Pudong Commerce Commission will organise a half price campaign day in Pudong on 31st 2009.
So on 31st December 2009, all the tourist attractions in Pudong will offer 50% discount on admission including Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Shanghai World Financial Center, Jinmao Tower etc. And also most hotels (above 3 star) will offer 50% discount on the new year eve night including Shangri-la, Park Hyatt etc (which meas it only costs average 1000RMB for a night in those 5 star hotels, but I guess this will be subject to the availability of the rooms.)
But anyway, I think this is a good opportunity to explore Pudong Lujiazui on this special night.
