As promised, I took my 5 year old nephew to Shanghai Zoo to see the EXPO pandas last weekend.

I can’t remember when was my last time in the zoo. 20 years ago?!

To be honest, I hated to go to zoo when I was a kid because everything smelled so bad…. and everything looked so scary….probably I am an exception because my little nephew just loves those furry things.

Okay, I took the suggestion from my colleague. Metro Line 2 stop at Jingan Temple and change to No. 57 bus. It was actually quite convenient. The bust stop is next to the shopping mall near Jingan Temple. Always people queueing there.

It took about 40 minutes from Jingan Temple to Shanghai Zoo.

Although our purpose is the cute pandas, we saw a lot others.

First, fishes….

More fishes…. those are typical Chinese fish living in fresh water. I saw a lot in Chengdu called Jin Li.

Okay, before the pandas, let’s have a look at their relatives.

Interestingly both of them looks very hungry, always looking up for food…

Here comes the star. Pandas.

Hi, I wish one day I can visit Shanghai. In the meantime, your blog will fill me in. Interesting black bear with a white stripe across! Is the zoo big?

The zoo is very big. You can spend a whole day there. I didn’t walk through the whole zoo but only been to a few sections, for example, I didn’t see the bird but I am sure they were somewhere in the Zoo. And there is also a children playground in the zoo. I guess kids must love there!
