I still remember 4 years ago when I first time went to Songjiang University Town from People’s Square. It took me about 4 hours by metro + bus + taxi. After the unpleasasent first trip, my first impression and the only impression about Songjiang was:’I am not going there again!’
So when Nelly asked me to go to Songjiang University Town last week, I thought about it for quite a while and then asked:’How? and how long?’
‘Metro Line 9, 1 hour!’
‘Really, that’s unbelievable!’
So I decided to give it a try and I took a pen and a notepad with me this time.

11:36 Songjiang University Town
Based on my field research, from Century Avenue (Pudong) to Songjiang University Town by Metro Line 9, total needs 1 hour and 2 minutes.
This really convinced me how public transportation can change the life significantly.
The Songjiang University Town Metro Station is still about 20 - 40 minutes walk to the campus (time varies depends on which campus you are going). You can take a taxi from the Metro station of course if you don’t feel like to walk.
From my observation, Line 9 is running quite frequently, average every 4-5 minutes.
