Report from China international intellectual, a full-service human resources company, stated average salary of fresh graduate in first tier cities is 2500RMB per month ($373). The number is the same with year 2009.
However, median salary in Shanghai is 300 to 500 RMB higher than Beijing because more companies in Shanghai have recovered faster than peers in Beijing since 2008 economic downturn. Average salary of three-year college students (similar to community college in western education) in 2010 is reported as 1800 RMB.
Meanwhile, report has also published pay rise rate in 2010, and pay rise in Beijing has reached to 7% in average while Shanghai 6.5%.
Report is based on data from more than 300 companies which half of them are US or European companies and one third Japanese companies.
