Huning intercity high speed train ticket will begin to sell on June 25th., 2010. Trains labelled in G from Shanghai to Nanjing leave from two railway stations after July 1st., one is the current Shanghai Railway Station, and the other Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station, a final stop of Beijing to Shanghai High Speed Rail.
G train ticket prices to Nanjing from Shanghai are two categories: RMB233 for first class seat, and RMB146 for second class seat. However, D trains to Nanjing will remian the same price as before, but they will run on new huning intercity rail from July 1st., 2010.
G trains ticket after July 1st. could be bought in Shanghai or South Shanghai Railway Station and downtown ticket outlets. However, passengers should be aware where to board on trains as we have 3 major train stations now in Shanghai. New Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station in Chinese is: 上海虹桥火车站, and your ticket may print in “上海虹桥” if you leave from Hongqiao Railway Station.
