Airasia has a bus transportation from Hangzhou Xiaoshan airport to Shanghai. Compared with the D trains or intercity bullet G trains boarded at Hangzhou railway station or South Hangzhou railway station, this is a no-brainer option going to Shanghai after you arrive Hangzhou. However, you should be aware any unexpected traffic on the highway too. Under normal traffic, it will be two and half hours from Hangzhou Xiaoshan airport to Shanghai.

1. From Shanghai, shuttle bus will be at Shanghai Huangpu Bus Station. Because Hangzhou airport began to use new terminal A last summer, if you couldn’t find where shuttle bus is, do check with airport information counter. And here is map for Shanghai Huangpu Bus Station.

2. Bus ticket are sold either at airport or at bus station. The cost will be RMB100 for single trip (about US$15).

3. The bus will stop at Shanghai Huangpu Bus Station where is near to Nanpu Bridge or Metro Line 4 in walk distance. Bus station is linked to Metro line 4 via Exit gate No. 1. And Shanghai metro guide is here.

4. If you take bus to arrive Shanghai in the midnight and taxi is only your choice to hotels or whereever, then read this taxi fare lookup table to give you a rough idea about taxi cost you should pay. If you want a bigger and newer expo taxi for your luggage etc., you may try taxi here.
