  1. Philip says:

If I take K8418, how do I have the dinner ? Do they have a section on train for dining ?

  2. Hoo says:

@Philip Yeah, they have a section on train for dining. Two options to you:
    a. going to dining car by yourself and order food you like by menu.
    b. waiting crew on the train to deliver foods from one car to other. Food is in combo (rice plus 2 or 3 dishes), and you just pay 15 to 25 RMB.

However, most foods are prepared in Chinese cuisine.

Enjoy your trip to Huangshan, a beautiful place to go in hot summer.

  3. Philip says:

Thanks Hoo. I get detail and up-to-date information from your website. It’s really helpful for our Shanghai visit.

  4. Hoo says:

@Philip. You are welcome. I will update more trip information as I know about Huangshan nad Lushan as well.

  5. Philip says:

    I have a family of 5.
    (1) Is it easy to book a soft bed room to hold 4 members ?
    (2) I would like to book the hard bed to save money and then go in to stay with my family in soft bed. Can I do so?

  6. Hoo says:

@Philip. I don’t know how old for your kids if having. By China railways, kids under 150cm tall could enjoy half price for hard seat only, and kids under 110cm tall are free to take train. However, one adult is able to bring one kid for free only. If you have a little kids, i think one soft bed room to hold even 5 members OK. Given kids share bed with an adult.

If no any little kids, a soft bed room just has 4 sleepers only. You couldn’t stay in soft bed room during sleeping hours in the night, but you could be there in the day time.

Now it is time for summer retreat, securing your tickets as early as possible always make travel easier. After or before you land in Shanghai, try to get tickets in advance.
