New intercity bullet G trains schedule from Shanghai railway station to South Kunshan Railway Station (Last update on Dec. 15,2010)
Kunshan now has two railway stations to stop now. One is South Kunshan railway station where location is here, and the other is original one - Kunshan railway station. If you prefer to stop at Kunshan railway station, this is D trains schedule from Shanghai to Kunshan.

Regarding that I am travelling from Shanghai to Kunshan from time to time. I would like to know which is the schedule from Kunshan South Station to Shanghai Railway Station and Shanghai Hongquiao Railway Station.

I dont know why the schedule to South Kunshan is not the same as you told me. I went today to buy tickets to go on Monday and the first train from Shanghai Railway Station is at 9:13. Any idea?
My wish destination is just Kunshan, I asked for Kunming as I have a friend overthere. Thanks for asking anyway. Your page is being succesfull.

@Marcos. Shanghai rail updated schedule once again starting from July 11, 2010. My schedule will update till then and what you saw is just the schedule before change.
You are right. From Shanghai railway station, the first train will be 9:13 to South Kunshan. It’s really inconvenience. If you need to go early, you have to go to Shanghai Hongqiao Railway Station to South Kunshan. Earlier trains are: 06:12, 07:00, 07:35, 07:41 (D5478), 08:20, and 09:05. About Hongqiao train station, you could check here for more.

It is really inconvenience for me. Hongquiao RWS is vey far form my home. I’m wondering if they Shanghai rail plans future changes again, as the last schedule was valid for only 10days.

@Marcos. I am sure they will change again, and it is all about when. Now, many locals still have two major complaints: expensive and few stops or trains on small stations. Actually it becomes a high speed train rather than an intercity rail as planned before. Shanghai rail is testing the market as well, so don’t rely much on its schedule until everything is stablized. I guess market will tell how schedule should be in the end.

I was thinking that you may know if there is any “D” train still available from Shanghai to Kunshan in the morning.
I hope they will reconsider their position running a train in the early morning to Kunshan.

@Marcos. Please check link here about D trains from Shanghai to Kunshan. D182 is OK for you? BTW, many voices have the same wish as you but not sure when it will be re-positioned.
Well, it is very early in the morning, but I might consider to take that one if there is no choice soon. Going to Hongquiao RWS is not an option. Let’s wait for the soonest change. It is really nice to have you as contact person regarding this issue. Let’s keep in touch.
@Marcos. You are welcome. BTW, i am not sure K train ticket is easy to buy or not? There is K376 from Shanghai and stop at Kunshan which departure time is 08:46 and arrival at 09:19. Just for reference. Sometimes buying K train ticket for a very short journey is hard from station ticket counters.

It is not tough, you can buy the K train tickets from the TVM (Ticket Vending Machine). Althought, I prefer then to take the G train at 9:13, it is always punctual, and K trains usually are not.
Anyway, any new regarding G trains schedule? I think next week will be the same….
@Marcos. you are right, and no any new about schedule . However, G trains are still getting more and more pressure from its competitor - long distance bus. It seems locals are sensitive to price of G trains rather than D trains.
