After visiting the Bund in the east side of Huangpu river, you may want to cross the river to the side which is Lujiazui financial district. Or you may want to view classical architecture on the Bund from the west side of river, or you just wonder how to cross the big Huangpu river by locals in their daily life?
Yeah, there are several ways to cross Huangpu river, and one of the major way is ferry. Shanghai has many ferry docks at different places, but to tourists Jinling Ferry Dock should be one used by most to cross river.
If you need to cross river after visiting the Bund, or you need a short cut to visit Riverside avenue in the Pudong, this is ferry schedule to your reference: (Last update on July 16,2010)
Ferry schedule at Jinling ferry station is from 07:00 to 22:00.
Ferry leaves in every 12 minutes from Puxi (the west side of river) to Pudong (the east side).
Ticket price is 2RMB with air-conditioned, and the ferry station in Pudong side is Dongchang road ferry dock.
