Hongqiao airport terminal 1 is an old and small airport terminal compared to terminal 2. After new terminal 2, many airlines and flights have been moved to terminal 2, and only a few flights are still in terminal 1. By metro:
a. Until now, metro line 10 is still under construction and expected to be ready later this year. It will have a stop here.
b. So now, you need to go to Hongqiao airport terminal 2 for metro line 2. Between terminal 1 and 2, there has free shuttle bus service. Detail is here.

By bus:
Bus No. 925 going to People’s Square. It has Shanghai Zoo and Jinan Temple etc.. stops on the way.
Bus No. 941 going to Shanghai railway station, but bus stop is a little far from terminal 1.
Bus No. 938 going to Yangjiadu Ferry in Pudong. It has stops at Shanghai Zoo, Shanghai Stadium, and Nextage Shopping Center in Pudong etc..
Bus No. 807 going to Beixinjin direction till Zhenguang Xincun
Bus No. 806 going to Nupu Bridge. It has stops at Jiaotong University etc..
If you need to catch more city buses, you have one more option is going to Hongqiao terminal 2. There have several bus services too.
Airport shuttle No. 1 to Pudong airport has been moved to Hongqiao terminal 2.

By coach bus:
Long distance buses to neighboring cities have been moved to new Shanghai west long distance station (a.k.a. Hongqiao long distance bus station). Catching the coach bus, first you need to go to Hongqiao Railway Station where is next to Hongqiao airport terminal 2. From there, long distance bus will go to Changshu, Zhangjiagang, Yangzhou, Shenzhou, Xuancheng, Anji, Jiuhuashan, Huzhou, and Qingdao etc..

By taxi:
a. Want to take a taxi? Look up here to estimate your taxi cost and bigger expo taxi for your luggage. However, new Hongqiao airport terminal 2 is the major terminal now, more taxi drivers prefer to stay there for business rather than terminal 1 which was once popular.
