Kunshan South railway station (photos here) is a newly built stop on the Huning (Shanghai to Nanjing) high speed intercity rail. It has opened to the public since July 1st, 2010, and it took about two years to finish the whole project when it started on June 29, 2008.

The total investment of station is about 150 million yuan.

As a new train station, it has a total of 15,000 square meter in size. The station lounge in south quare is 4,600 square meter, and north square 2,100 square meter. It could hold up to 4,445 passengers per hour, and transport up to 30,000 passengers daily.

Station has 16 ticket windows in south square and 15 in north square, and nine fare gates are in station. It has 4 platforms with six tracks.

Like many stations in China, South Kunshan station has lounges for VIP and Mother with babies as well.

Bus: No. 29, 2, 11 starting from South Kunshan railway station.
Bus No. 88 has a stop at South Kunshan station. It will go to Kunshan train station and coach bus station as well.
Bus No. 3, 27, and 132 has a stop near to South Kunshan station.

However, you could go to Kunshan raliway station for public transportation as well. From South Kunshan railway station to Kunshan train station, there is a link within 5 minutes walk distance.

Taxi: 9RMB for 3km, after 3km, 1.8RMB for every km.
