There is no walkway between Hongqiao airport terminal 2 and terminal 1 which passengers could walk form one terminal to other, and there is no metro link as well. If you need to go from one to other terminal, you could have:
1. Take free shuttle bus between Hongqiao airport terminal 2 and terminal 1. Operation hour by airport is from 06:00 to 22:30. Frequency is about every 5, 15 to 20 minutes in various timezones of the day. Journey time between two terminals is about 15 minutes. Boarding points of free shuttle bus are at arrival of terminal 2 and departure of terminal 1. If you are hard to find, feel free ask information desk. (Free shuttle bus stop to run after Nov. 30, 2010, travellers may take metro line 10 to transport now)
2. By taxi. Taxi fare is around 15RMB.
BTW, Bus no. 941 starts from Hongqiao airport terminal 2 and has a stop at airport terminal 1. But it is not recommended to take. This bus will stop at a distance of 300 meter away from terminal 1. If you are bothered by luggage, definitely no to this option.
