Shanghai Ferry is one of the main transportation to cross Huangpu river by locals. Between Pudong and Puxi, Shanghai ferry used to be the only way to link together. As more tunnels and bridges have been built, ferry is more for commuters in bicycles, electric bikes, and motorcycles. Of course, crossing Huangpu river from the Bund, taking ferry between Jinling east road and Dongchang road is main route to city visitors.
