There are several routes to Tibet, they are highways:

-Xinzang route - from Xinjiang to Tibet: route map and route information
-Chuanzang route - from Sichuan to Tibet: route map, and route information.
-Qingzang route - from Qinghai to Tibet (either by train or bus): route map to refer the above one, and route information.
-Dianzang Route - from Yunnan to Tibet: route map and route information.

Tibet trains:
- Xining to Lhasa - in operation
- Lhasa to Shigatse - Under construction
- Lhasa to Nyingchi then Kunming & Chengdu - Under plan
