My stroll in Hongkou District Shanghai (Lu Xun Park) Friday, October 9th, 2009

Lu Xun Park is located right beside the Hongkou Football Stadium at North Sichuan Road. Although the park is named after the famous Chinese writer Lu Xun,Lu Xun Park might be the most vividly living park in Shanghai. Not for tourists, totally serves the local communities needs. My stroll in Hongkou District Shanghai (Hongkou Football Stadium) Friday, October 9th, 2009

The weather during 2009 National Day Golden week in Shanghai is what we call Best Season in Shanghai except 1st Oct. It was dry, clear, breezy and sunny. What a waste if I didn’t go out! So I decided to go around Hongkou District.

In local Shanghainese mind, Hongkou district is regarded as an unpleasant or lower end district like Zhabei District (Jingan District, Luwan District and Xuhui District are usually regarded good districts in Shanghai). But these two districts are actually very close to the city centre and the river.
