Today I was in a rush to catch a flight from Pudong International Airport to Chengdu, capital city of Sichuan Province. My flight was 3pm, but I was just off a meeting around 1pm near East Nanjing Road. Introduction to Shanghai Maglev Train Sunday, May 10th, 2009
The Shanghai Maglev Train is the first commercial high-speed maglev line in the world.
The line runs from Longyang Road Metro Station to Shanghai Pudong International Airport. It has 30km, roughly 18.64 miles.
The maglev train takes around 7 minutes from Longyang Road Metro Station to Shanghai Pudong Airport. The maximum speed of train is 431km/h (268 mph).
