My Personal View about Shanghai Taxi Tuesday, June 9th, 2009
I know there are some criticism about the services of Shanghai taxi. But my personal experiences were quite pleasant.

Shanghai Taxi Invoice or Fare Receipt — Chepiao Fapiao Sunday, May 24th, 2009
When taking a taxi, you should ask the taxi invoice or fare receipt before getting off the taxi.
In Shanghai, taxi invoice or fare receipt is called as “Chepiao Fapiao” in Chinese. Some people use fapiao to get compensation from company because of their business trip. You don’t have to get your taxi invoice in necessary, but I do recommend you get one.
Because the fare receipt contains some helpful information, including the company of the car and the plate number, etc. Sometimes if you are not satisfied with the service or you leave something on the car by chance, the taxi invoice or fare receipt will be a great help.
All the cabs in Shanghai will give machine-printed fare receipt. Fare receipt or fapiao is only in Chinese. Click to view what are translated in English.
